January 2012 SLT Meeting Summary

The Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) met on Saturday morning, January 7, for an informal session as a church team without the presence of Mr. Ron Donnini. The purpose of this gathering was for Pastor Kirk and the Leadership Team to encourage team members by providing guidance and inspiration through worship, prayer, discussion, and fellowship.

The session on Friday evening began with the Pastor Kirk and the Leadership Team recommending that changes be made to the existing mission statement of Abiding Savior. While the current mission statement, “Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known”, is well-liked, the Leadership Team recommended that the goal of ‘spiritual growth’ be added.

Your Strategic Planning team met for our second session on August 26th and 27th. I offer this brief summary as a way to inform you as to the Envisioning process as it unfolds and to continue to encourage your partnership through prayer and feedback. At any point of the process your questions and comments are appreciated, and they can be passed on to the individuals serving on the Strategic Planning team.
